Happy New Year!!!

We had a fun evening at my sister's with family and friends bringing in the new year. We played games for most of the night...of course, after stuffing our faces, with some yummy Taco Soup...thanks Ruby and this wonderful fruit arrangement made by my niece Madison and her mom...delicious!!

Yes, that is a heart shapped apple...cute!!

This and the taco soup were all gone by the end of the night!!

And one practicular game...well, lets just say that it may have gotten a little dangerous...my sister and I were fighting over the last spoon in the "spoon game." Guess what...I won!! Love you sis.

We went over to my sister's Kathy's house for my mom and dad's traditional Breakfast Christmas.

We went over to our friends house to exchange gifts that afternoon and then we had Jason's family over for Christmas supper.

We had a great Christmas!!

Funny story: My friend Ruby and I bought each other the same necklace while we were shopping together and didn't know it!! I told her that I was buying it for my co-worker and she wondered off while I was shopping for hubby. We got a great laugh out of it...actually our whole family did!!!

Don't we have good taste?!?!?!?!

School Program

Carter's Mothers Day Out program was today and he did great!! We are so very proud of him!!!

Christmas Parade & Parties

We didn't make it to Brighton's parade this year...it was very cold, but we did make it to Munford's parade....

Yes, that is a bag in my mom's hand...Mamaw and Papaw came prepared!!

Our Christmas parties to go to this year were:

First is at my sister's for our traditional Family/Friend Christmas Party...

We had so much fun and had a great turn out...imagine trying to play a Dirty Santa game with 35 gifts...lots of stealing!!!

Then we had our Sunday School Party and I had my Scrapbook Party too...
Can you imagine a bunch of scrapbook ladies snatching scrapbook items...it's a hoot I tell ya! :-)

And what made it all so nice is that most of them happened the first week in December so then I got to spend the other weekends Christmas shopping...oh how one of these years I hope to be done Christmas shopping by Thanksgiving...maybe next year!

Visiting Santa

SWEET PICTURE!!! I REALLY LIKE THIS ONE!!

Carter has been a really good sport every year that we have gone to see Santa...even when he was little. BUT this year we were smart and did it early in December so the line was AMAZING...we walked right up there...no hour long line for us this year!!!

OUR BEACH VACATION!!

YES you heard me right....the Marbry's went on a VACATION TO THE BEACH!!! We went with another family and had a GREAT TIME!! Check us out....

Our home away from home-

This is where we stayed during the week! It was FABULOUS!!! The house was all you can imagine and more.

Then the resort we stayed in had this fun little shopping area and we just couldn't resist when we saw this to snap a shot of the kids or actually I think the kids wanted us to take a picture of them!

We decided to all dress up alike and get a few beach pictures. These are what I have for now but I don't have the family shots yet.

Then we went to a couple of restaurants on the beach...The Back Porch and Crab Trap, so we took advantage of the wait and enjoyed the beach some more.

I tell you what, I discovered on this trip that my good friend is really good at taking self portraits. The one with her and her husband (above)...yep, you guessed it...she did it herself...pretty good if you ask me!! And I really liked this one of her and I.

And now it's time for some beach time fun. Carter got so excited b/c he could actually get out in the water and play b/c the first two times we went to the beach, it was to eat and then the pictures in our white shirts and jeans, so we couldn't "play" since we weren't in our swimsuits. I know pure torcher for a 4 year old! Carter had a blast and really loved it!! I think he's ready to go back already!! We will definitely do this again! We all really loved it!!

The house had all this beach stuff that we were free to use, so the kids really had a blast on the boogy boards.

My friend and I had time to scrapbook while the guys went and played golf.

Well, I hope you enjoyed all the pictures we took...it was really hard to narrow it down to just these b/c we got some really great shots!! The weather was perfect and the water was just right too. We left on Saturday, October 11th and got back on Friday the 17th. It was a FANTASTIC FALL BREAK!!!
