Well, I made it back safely from my trip to Cropical Paradise. We all had a great time EXCEPT the assistant they had helping them out got on our nerves a little. But we still made the best of the situation. One person in our group emailed the owners to let them know about her and said that she could hurt their business. The owners also contacted the group before us too who had her as well and needless to say, they had an awful time. Therefore, to make a long story short, they agreed and will be taking care of the situation. Lastly, they told us that we'd be left in better hands next time!!!
On every trip so far there's something 'goofy' that we do....well, this time it had to do with two decorated pumpkins they had there. We'd take and place them in different places...they might greet you after you got out of the bathroom or be in your seat at the dinner table, etc...we even named them: Rose and Steve. They were such good sports!!
Our group was a little smaller this time but that was okay...we got to spread out more!!
Ruby and Laura are in the chairs. Sarah and myself are on the swing. Beth and Denise are in the back. Check Rose and Steve out too!!!
The cool thing about this trip was that I went with 3 of my co-workers (Beth, Denise, and Laura)....something that we never thought could be possible. Don't worry, the office still had some people there...we had to make sure of that since that was the agreement with the boss man!! :-)
It was another productive weekend for me...this time I got a total of 21 pages done!!! Check a few of them out on my slide show on the side. I hope you enjoy!!
On this past Tuesday, I met Dad, Mom, Kathy, David, Christian, and Carter at the Pumpkin Patch. Unfortunately, most of the pictures are on my sister's camera b/c my battery died on me. But we plan to go again so Jason can go with us, so I'll hopefully get more then, but here's a few...
Carter rode the train ride, then we all rode the hayride to the back to pick our pumpkins. Carter picked one out that was just the right size for him. Then they played on the playground area. After this we all headed to dinner where Jason met up with us at Texas Roadhouse. My dear sweet son thought he'd be funny and throw a french fry at the armadillo person...well, that armadillo decided to give him some attention and come after him (at first, he was just waving at us all). Carter flew under the table sooooooo fast, we all laughed so hard at him. Anytime during the rest of the meal if the armadillo came by, Carter was out of sight (we'd wonder where he was and then realize that the armadillo was near by, so we knew exactly where he was)!!!! :-)
Wednesday evening Elizabeth, my cousin, and her children, Seth and Elyssa, picked Carter up for me and I met them at Chuck E. Cheeses. Carter and Seth had so much fun together. My Aunt JoJo and cousin Corey met us there too, so that was a sweet surprise!! Happy Birthday to Elizabeth whose birthday was Saturday.
Saturday, we had two birthday parties at the same time to go to!!!! Can you believe that we made it to both of them!! We decided to go to Olivia's 2nd birthday party first (actually they were having a double celebration b/c it was Olivia's 2nd and Julia's 1st birthday....Julia is my friends twin sister's child...they both have babies born on the same day but one year apart...how cool is that!), which was in Memphis. We only got to stay about 45 minutes, then we left for Zach's 1st birthday party that was in MS. My poor child just kept wanting some cake, so since we left the first one before it was served, we told him that we should make it to the other one in time but if not then we'd stop and buy him a cake. Really, all we'd have to do is buy some icing b/c that's all he's going to eat of it!!! :-) Carter really enjoyed both parties but the latter one worked out great for him b/c there were two boys there only a year older than him so they all played great together. Olivia belongs to an old co-worker/friend of mine from Towers Perrin. Zach is our long time friends, Todd and Dixie's baby. After Zach's party, we spent the remainder of the evening over at Todd and Dixie's just catching up!
Today we had lunch with Mawmaw and got to spend time with our cousin Dalton who was up visiting. Dalton is a Sophomore in Horn Lake High School. Carter and him played basketball together...more like Dalton helped him make the shots!! :-)
Well, we've had a great but busy weekend!! It was really great to catch up with family and friends that we've not seen in a while!!!
