Thanksgiving and Updates

We had a great Thanksgiving!! We went to my Aunt and Uncle's house for lunch, then headed home to meet Jason's family for dinner. We, of course, stuffed ourselves, but who doesn't, right?!?!? I'm so thankful for my family!! I'll try to post pictures on another post. I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving!

I did not dare go out shopping at all this weekend! I learned my lesson years ago! The only shopping I did do was go to Wal-Mart with a friend on Saturday evening (like 10:30pm) to get a good deal on Cricut Cartridges. I have enjoyed my 4 days off...YEAH!!! We didn't do much. Jason had to work on Friday. Friday, Carter got a little surprise...Mawmaw came and took him back to her house for a while. He kept asking me all day what were we going to do, and I'd say, I don't know...we'll have to see. He was so excited and was eager to go when she arrived...Thanks again Mawmaw!! Saturday we put up the tree and stockings. We've still got to get the outside decorations up. I even got to get in a little scrapbooking...actually did some pages on Thanksgiving of last year...YIPPIE!!!

I'm been applying for some jobs online. I actually had a phone interview last Sunday that went okay, but I just did not get that good feeling from it, but oh well. It was definitely a learning experience.

Work is getting a little better or I'm just getting used to it!! Only 24 more working days at CC to go!!! We actually got off early (like 2:45) on Wednesday, so that was really a first and very cool. I went to my sister's house to get my boy and ended up working on organizing her scrap room for her....she's really been wanting me to help her, so I didn't really have nothing else to do. I'm not done with it yet, but I've got a good start to it. She took Carter earlier that day to be fitted for his tux. They said he did so good and looked so cute it the coat.

Two weeks ago, a good friend of mine, Beth lost her grandfather. Please pray for her and her family this holiday season. From what I've heard, he was a great Christian man and will truely be missed!

A week ago Thursday, we went to a Surprise 30th Birthday Skating Party for our good friend Donald, who actually turned 30th this past Wednesday...Happy Birthday Donald!! We had a good time and yes I even got out there on skates...not a pretty site. =) We had fun! Carter even got back on skates and skated around like a pro...didn't really want me to hold on to him.

A week ago Friday, I went to a Ladies Christmas Dinner at a friend's church! It was such a great dinner, the men served us, we got to see several tables decorated for Christmas, and we were reminded of the real reason for the season...CHRIST!!!! It was a lovely evening!

A week ago Saturday, I got my haircut and Jason took Carter to his first Memphis Tigers Football game. He did really well and lasted 3 quarters...not bad for a first game. =) I stayed home and actually scrapbooked!!!!

Sorry this is just kind of blah, but it's late and I wanted to give you all an update. I've been a little busy looking for a job and scrapbooking...reason for not getting an update out to you sooner...sorry!! =)
