Wrecked!!!

My week started off to a good start, right?!?!?!?
Yep, my new car (well put it this way, it's only a little over a year old and definitely not paid for) got hit on Monday morning on my way to work. And guess what? I was literally right down the road from work!!!! It happened on Germantown Parkway in front of Wal-Mart.
I noticed a big dump truck up ahead of me was stopped, so I stopped as well. Since I was in the middle of a light, I looked up to see if I could get over and that's when I noticed a big F150 Silverado truck was not slowing down. So I looked back down after that and BUMP!!!!! I got out and looked and this is what I saw. Since we were on such a busy road, I asked him if he wanted to pull over, but yet I wanted to make sure he was going to follow me and he said, "Yes, Ma'am." At that point I figured I was pretty safe moving over. After we got over a lady came up to me and said she saw the whole thing. I was thinking to myself (yes I do think ever now and then)...well, yes, he hit me but hey at least I have a witness (not like you really need one when there's damage to your rear end)!!! But she told us that the reason traffic was stopped in our lane was because the old lady that was going into Rafferty's was in our lane coming towards us...SCARY!!!!!! Since the kid was on the phone, I thought he might be calling the cops, so I asked him if that's what he was doing and he said "No, I'm calling my mom." So I was trying to call the office to get the police number (wasn't really necessary to call 911). As I was trying to get someone at the office, a cop came up. He said someone pulled up next to him and said there had been a wreck. We explained to him about the old lady and he first went to check on her. He came back and said she wasn't drunk, just confused and lost and that she was very upset that she caused an accident. He said since he didn't see her do it, there's was nothing he could do to her but that he'd still have to write the kid a ticket. I did found out that in deed he was a kid, 17 years old in fact...the cop had to wait on his partner to bring him a juvenile ticket. You know me, I'm not going to stand there in silence, so I asked was he on the way to school, he said no he was on his way to a dr's appt. So after swapping info, we parted our ways.
I'm just really glad nobody was hurt.
I immediately reported it to my insurance and they told me to give his insurance a day. Well, I called them on Tuesday morning and of course, he's not even reported yet!! Just GREAT!!! They said I could do it for him. I kind of thought that would be rude of me, but she said no it happens this way all the time, so I did it for him!!! I asked what was the process next and when could I get my car fixed! She said they had two days to get in touch with him and then they call. She told me I could try back Friday if I'd not heard anything. So yesterday morning I called and guess what??!?!? They still have not gotten in touch with him!! EVEN BETTER!!!! She said now they take the next step and send him a letter. So I'm trying to be patient here but this is ridiculous!!! I know you are probably asking yourself, why don't I call him, right?!??! Well, unforunately, I'm a rookie at this and I forgot (as well as the cop forgot) to tell us to get each others phone number!!! I'm going to try and call insurance back on Monday to see what's up and if I get no where, I'll try to call the police station to get a copy of the report or at least his phone number. In the meantime, I'm going to google his name and see what I can come up with. I could file it under mine but I'm opting not to for now but may end up having too!!
Oh well, it's just one of those things, right?!?!? When it rains it poors!!!!!
I hope you week was better!!!
