MORE BABIES!!!!!

Yes, we have MORE BABIES!!!! And the cool part this time was....I actually saw them born!!! We really thought Lacey was just having one, but she surprised us with two black ones!! They were just learning to walk when I took this one (probably not even an hour old yet).

It all started when I was at my sister's looking at my nephew's outfit for the Ramsey picture (we take ours on Saturday). My dad came in and said Kathy you are going to have to help deliver Lacey's goat (note: my sister is an Labor and Delivery Nurse at St. Francis) b/c two feet were out. All I know is I grabbed a phonebook and the phone and took it all with me. I was going to call a vet or daddy's goat lady to help "coach" her through it. It didn't look good b/c the feet looked all white, so we were expecting the worst, but daddy didn't want to lose Lacey too, so we had to get it out. I got a hold of the goat lady's young daughter and she said that if it was coming out feet first along with head then that's okay, but if it's feet then butty, then that's bad. Well, it wasn't out far enough to tell. But she was going to try to call her mom and get her to call us back but dad didn't want to wait. So picture this....my sister with her sterile gloves (and scissors, just in case) started pulling and said "Dad, I can't do it". Dad said "Yes, you have too." So she tried again and it wasn't coming out anymore, so then Lacey started helping and out came the goat. Kathy set it down and we were afraid to look thinking it was gone....well, to our surprise, the little bogger started moving, so Kathy said, "Go get your baby Lacey." Lacey went right over to it, but then after a few minutes of cleaning it, she stopped and we weren't sure why....well, here comes baby number two and it just slipped on out!!!!! So my dad and I think Kathy saved not only the baby but mom too b/c the first baby came out feet then butty so GREAT JOB SIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They were born around 3:30pm on Tuesday afternoon.
Here's "Star" curled up under the heat lamp.

My dad has doubled in goats in a little over 24 hours.
Thanks for the name suggestions so far. Stephanie...I think we are pretty sure we going to call the tan one "Cocoa", so thanks! We've haven't fully named them b/c dad had promised the goats to one of my older brothers, so he figured he better let him name a couple of them; however, my sister wants my dad to keep them all.
All in all, so far we have two males and two females. Cocoa and Star are the females.
Dad is hoping Bethany will be in a few weeks b/c he wants the other ones to get a little bigger before he has to put them together b/c he doesn't have a spot ready yet for her. Don't worry she can get out of the ran for now but just not really a good place to have a baby.
Friends, let me know if you want to bring the little ones over and we can do a Goat Farm Day!!!
