From one EXTREME to the OTHER!

I'm going to go ahead and warn you...this is another one of my long ones. I hope you enjoy.


Just a few short months ago this is how my sweet boy dressed...

He's been dressing this way since last fall. NO, he's not Michael Jackson with the glove on, he's a BULL RIDER!!! Yes, sir, you heard me right...A BULL RIDER!!! He loves to watch it on TV and pretends to ride and the whole nine yards.
While watching it, he mimics the bull riders...if they fall off, he falls off; if they throw their hat, he will throw his hat; and he'll even give himself a score...he's very smart b/c it will be a high number at that.

He's even rode a mechicanl bull before (they are able to slow it way down) and he loved his ride. When he came off, he told me "mom, that bull bucked me off". I laughed so hard!!

I say he watches it to the 'T' b/c he makes sure he 'dresses' just like them...a hat, cowboy shirt, vest, blue jeans, boots, and glove (and sometimes the number on the back)...I mean JUST LIKE THEM!!! He could care less if it all matched, just as long as it was all on him. And yes, we get many looks while we were out (just wasn't worth the battle and you've got to let them be a little independent too, right?). I remember seeing kids in the store in boots and shorts and I thought, oh no not my children...well, let's just say I'm eating my words...been there, done that. At his 3 year old party (which I hope to show pictures eventually...they are too cool not to share), it was a western/bull riding party. And we couldn't just stop at the clothes, we have to play with bulls too.
Notice they are lined up, well we kind of think he's got a little OCD in him and don't you dare go knock them down, boy would he have a cow....sorry couldn't resist!! :-)

By now you are probably asking yourself how did he get so interested in it. Well, he's always loved animals, but one day while Mawmaw Marbry was watching him...they watched a bull riding event on TV and the rest is history.

I just didn't know how we were going to get through the summer with ALL those clothes but somehow we have and we gone to the other EXTREME....

Just about NAKED!!!! There is a reason for him being 'dressed' or should I say undressed like this...do you know what he is??? Oh, come on guys, take a guess. Give up, okay...he's a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle!!!!!!! I guess this is a little more appropriate for the summer but he wants to go everywhere like this. Notice the weapon in his back underwear...yep, that's what the TMNT's use. He usually likes to be Donitello or Leanardo (not sure if I've spelled their name right or not).

He's not given up on the bull riding clothes just yet, he still likes to wear it all except we wear blue jean shorts instead of pants. I tell you what, I thought I had it made with clothes b/c I had a boy...ya know, them not really caring what they have on...WRONG, HE TOTALLY CARES!!!!!! Oh well, I still love him and actually think it's all real cute (except those days he fought me...like on Sundays, I mean come on, I did have some nice clothes that needed to get some worn time in). :-)
