On Friday morning about 9, my car just couldn't stand to go straight to work without at least driving by the store to take a peek...there were people already LINED UP outside waiting for the doors to open at 9:30. The first 100 people got a free gift, so you guessed it...I couldn't stand it..I got out and waited in line too!!! I know, I'm crazy...what's new! :-) The first few people in line where in chairs, so I wasn't nearly as bad as them (yes, I knew who they were and they said they got there about 10 minutes til 9, I thought they may have camped out all night, but nah). I was going to just wait in my car and eat my breakfast that I got at Chik-fil-a, but man that line was growing and fast, so I got out, and ate my breakfast while standing in line. Those at the front of the line got their pictures taken, along with the long line and me too b/c I was eating while in line. Tell me there's not alot of us dedicated Scrapbookers out there...check us out....
Of course, my good friend Ruby was on her way up there too (she actually planned to go), but since I beat her there, I made it in the store before her and waited for her. And here's her grand entrance...
Here we are after our hard shopping. No, the bags weren't our free item...it was a mini stamp and stamp pad. You got the bags after spending $50, so yep we did it...we couldn't resist their hot spot $1.99 items!! It was some very good therapy!!
By the way, yes I did call into work and let them know I was going to be a little late. What a GREAT FRIDAY!!!
Today was the celebration of the 25th Anniversary of the Munford Softball Team. They decided to start a MHS Softball Booster Club. I did join and for that, I got two season tickets for the 2008 softball season...not a bad idea for me considering my niece, Kaylee will play as a Sophomore this season. We all enjoyed a lunch of hamburgers and hotdogs and all played in a game. Can I say OH MY, I'M in PAIN!!!! Yes, I played in my softball Alumni game, well if you want to call it that! And I'm hurting!! We did have fun! We played 7 innings and we tied it up 2 to 2, so we decided to end it that way, that way all where happy...plus, us old folks where ready for a break!!! Here's most of us that showed up(some had to leave before we got the pictures).
I was among the graduating class of 1995, so here's who came from our class (minus Rena, who had to leave...Sorry Rena, I would've like to got a picture with you). From Left to Right...Paula, Mr. Goulder, Ashley, and Me.
We all rested and was waiting on our coach to show up (he had to be at the fair for livestock agriculture judging) because he was in for a SURPRISE. They named the field after him. Mr Goulder has been coaching MHS Softball for 23 years they said (not sure if they counted the upcoming 2008 season or not).
And his family was there to share in his celebration!!
Now then, we all had a good time and had many laughs. One in particular I thought I'd share is that the girl playing out in centerfield on my team called Bucket (not sure why, she said she's been called this since she was 9) asked what was the first year of the Munford Softball Team and I said 1984 (which my SIL, Kindle played on this team and was batting at the time she asked)....do you know what she then said....."well, I wasn't even thought of yet." MAN, I FEEL OLD!!!!! We all laughed so hard!!!!
I hope you all are having a great weekend!! I'm hoping I'm able to make it to church in the morning, but I think I will (minus some soreness), so y'all make it to church too, ya hear!!! :-)
