I got back Sunday evening from a FABULOUS weekend trip to Puducah, KY. Okay, so you're probably thinking what's so great about that, huh? Well, it was a scrapbookers DREAM COME TRUE vacation!! It is a bed and breakfast spa retreat. I did absolutely nothing but SCRAPBOOK all weekend!! Our hostess, Melanie, one of the owners, served us all our meals and she cleaned up. We had very comfortable chairs and plenty of crop room. Please feel free to check out their website at http://www.cropicalparadise.com/. Most of the time at crops I don't get much done b/c I'm running my mouth, feeding my mouth, or up looking at other people's pages, but this weekend I was VERY PRODCUTIVE...I got 19 pages done!!! I'm officially at Carter's 1st Birthday. Yes, I know he's 3 but I take A LOT of pictures and his first year is actually in 3 books, so that should tell you why it's taking me a while. Hopefully someday I'll show you on here some of my work. There were 10 of us who went...some old friends and brand new ones. We had so much fun sharing ideas and there was tons of 'girl talk'. We all had a GREAT TIME!!!
The Serious Scrapbookers...
Here's a picture of the hostess, Melanie and I...
The 24 Hour Scrap Room (My scrap station is the second seat on the left.)
It was so funny b/c the first night we were there, two of the ladies did a skit for us and it was so cute! Instead of singing the words to "she's a dancing queen", they made up a new song to it called "she's a stamping queen". They had me rolling, it was hilarious! Check them out for yourselves...
I DEFINITELY plan to go back and it may even be as soon as sometime this fall...I CAN'T WAIT TO GO AGAIN!!!!!!!
And when I got home, it looks like my boys survived without me. However, Carter had a rough Friday night. He had to call and talk to me but all he was really doing on the phone was crying and telling me I had to come home now. Yes I felt quilty, but I checked on him later and he was fine. Mawmaw Marbry and Macho (her dog) came over Saturday to play with Carter. I know this made his day. Jason got the grass cut. Sunday, Carter and Daddy played. Then when I got home it was back to 'mommy reality'...the house had to be picked up and then it was bed time.
And of course, I had to bring my baby home something. I called it a surprise, boy was it a surprise, it has to hatch before he really knows what it is... (hint: it's a dinasaur but not sure what kind yet...it is still in the water...2 days later). He just keeps checking on it and tells it to come out and see him. :-)
